Babydreamer Dress

After my son was born, I set out to design the perfect breastfeeding friendly dress, because I didn't see why all the options out there had to be so boring and frumpy. God knows it's hard enough trying not to lose your identity in the postpartum period without having to suffer ugly clothes as well! It's taken me nearly a year of sketching, designing in my head during baby walks, scrolling looking for the perfect fabrics during night feeds, and dozens and dozens of prototypes but I think I've done it! 

The Babydreamer dress is based on my best selling Dream Dress, but tweaked to make it perfect for breastfeeding 

• Hidden invisible zips in the princess seamlines on the bodice - directly over the nipple line so perfect for access and no tugging or pulling required 
• Zips open bottom to top which means you can reclose the top half once the baby is settled for more modesty 
• One handed closure as the zip is working with the flow of gravity
• In seam pockets as standard: big enough to hold a large phone so plenty of space for what you need 
• Midaxi length hitting just above the ankle: doesn't weirdly cut you off at the calf like high street brands. 
• Bubble hem sleeves: all the drama of a puff sleeve but none of the bulk at the shoulder, and plenty of room for your arm. 
• Machine washable at 30C - just put in the machine and hang to dry 
• Two necklines available: boat neckline hits at the collarbones and is perfect for anyone looking for a full coverage look. V neckline is a plunging neckline, because why not flaunt it while we've got it!
  
• Handmade to order: please allow approximately 4 weeks for delivery. This is a sustainable method of production which allows me to offer a wider size range and reduce waste. 
• Toile de jouy fabric: 100% cotton. Due to the nature of the printing process this fabric has a slightly shiny surface before the first wash. 
• Polka dot fabric: 97% cotton, 3% spandex (has a little stretch). Please note this fabric is NAVY not black. 

Sizing

• This dress is available in sizes 3XS-4XL covering UK 4-28
• Choose your size based on your full bust. If your bust is in between sizes you may wish to size up. 
• This dress is designed to have a loose fit and will fit almost all waist sizes, however it is not designed to be fully oversized and therefore may not fit after 6 months of pregnancy so it's not recommended as a maternity dress. 
• If your measurements are significantly different to the standard size chart, you may wish to choose a custom sizing option. If you do, I will contact you after purchasing to confirm your measurements. Please note that custom sizes may take a couple of extra weeks to draft a new pattern and make the dress. 
• If you are under 5 foot 3 you may wish to choose the custom sizing option to ensure the waist seam hits at the right point if you have a petite body length.
• The skirt is loose and gathered and will fit all hip sizes.
