The dream dress is ready for her close up 💖

I spent literally months designing this dress to be absolutely PERFECT for everyday. I wanted it to be something you could throw on and feel instantly a bit cool and pulled together and super easy to build a cute fit around with no stress.

Each of the features is designed to make it super easy to wear:
💖 boat neckline is comfy and not tight but won’t gape either
💖 midaxi length is modern and works well with all shoe types
💖 it has pockets!!
💖 elasticated cuffs so you can push the sleeves up to wash your hands
💖 loose fit so you don’t need to worry about pinching if you bloat
💖 machine washable 100% oeko-tex certified cotton seersucker fabric which doesn’t need ironing!!!

I have 5 black and 5 red available in this drop which will be live on my website at 5pm Monday 29th April! They’ll be made to order in any size 4-28!

I’ll honestly never get over this fabric and this dress 😍 it’s the softest sugar pink with the most incredible depth to it, and the heavy drape is perfect for the Sausalito dress. It gives it such a great silhouette. I personally love this dress because it gives great spring vibes but it’s also a really good layering piece for when the weather just isn’t quite where you want it to be 🙃

🔔 sizing update!!! 🔔 Following on from the s

🔔 sizing update!!! 🔔 Following on from the success of my two new larger sizes (3XL and 4XL), I have added a smaller size 3XS to better cater to my smaller customers.

I’ve included a suggested UK dress size equivalent for each size but as dress sizes vary massively between brands, I strongly urge that you choose your size based on your body measurements and the fitting advice I include on each product page to get the best fit! My sizing is consistent so each garment will fit according to the size guide 😊

As part of the new fitting advice I’ve also recommended on my looser fit items that if you are proportionally smaller in the bust (narrow ribs/flatter chest) you might want to size down compared to the size you might order from other brands. This is because the waists and hips are loose on most items so if your bust is proportionally smaller, a smaller size may fit better!

As always if you have any questions please feel free to ask and I’d be happy to help. If you’re in any doubt about sizing remember you can include your measurements in the box at checkout so I can measure them against the pattern pieces to check they’ll fit 😊

An update from me on why I’ve removed Clearpay f

An update from me on why I’ve removed Clearpay from my website.

I added Clearpay a couple of years ago because I was getting requests for a BNPL option. However the fees they charge for merchants are 3 x higher than PayPal/card.

For example Dream Dress paid for by Clearpay I realised I lost £10 over PayPal which if 100 people use Clearpay a year adds up to £1000 lost off my profits at no benefit to you, only to an international corporation.

So to avoid putting my prices up which didn’t feel fair to the people who use PayPal/card I have decided to remove Clearpay.

If you need a BNPL option there is still PayPal pay in 3 available, and you will now see a button advertising this on the page.

If you’re wondering what the best payment method to use to ensure I get the most money and not a 3rd party it’s visa/mastercard credit or debit card! PayPal and Amex are second best 😊
If you have constructive thoughts on this I’d welcome them but please don’t use this space to bash people for using credit as everyone’s finances are different and different people work in different ways.

Let’s talk about 2 of the pieces dropping this Saturday: the cami and the skirt! These are an update on last year’s Songbird Set to make them even more wearable, and so I’ve changed the name to the Shoreditch set!

The skirt was one of my best selling pieces at the pop up and there was so much love for the cami! They’re also the two most affordable pieces in my range as I specifically wanted to create some accessibly priced pieces that you could mix into your wardrobe and wear all summer long!

Finally 🖤 I know it’s taken me SO long but the Mojito is coming BACK, baby! And what better way to kick off the new season mojito than with a limited edition black version?!?

This version is made from the most STUNNING cupro fabric. It’s a sustainable fibre with the most soft and lustrous drape. This fabric is deadstock so I could only get enough for a very few dresses!

The Mojito has the same iconic wraparound ties you know and love with some sexy new details… the back no longer has a pleat for a smoother line over your 🍑 and the strap sliders are now silver to go with the black fabric.

This fabric is slightly more casual feeling than the green which makes this dress even more versatile! You could 100% still wear it for a wedding or your 30th or an anniversary dinner but you can also dress it down for casual pub drinks, cosy date nights and dinner parties. It also pairs perfectly with a shirt underneath and would look great for work styled this way!

The last 3 months have been the hardest and most rewarding that my business has ever had. The pop up, two big launches, lots of bridal happenings and a 27 day a month work schedule… it’s been a lot! But I feel like I’ve taken a big step forward and I’m excited to get working on all the exciting things I have planned for this quarter.

Hello new friends 👋🏻 I thought it was about time for a reintroduction… so hi! I’m Bella and I’m the designer behind The Daydreamer London!

I started making my own clothes over a decade ago so that I could make the cute things I wanted rather than being stuck with mumsy jersey dresses just because I’m plus size.

Fast forward to lockdown and I decided “if not now then when?” And took the plunge into starting my business and creating statement pieces for people with all body sizes and shapes, and The Daydreamer London was born!

I get bored by minimal classics, so instead my goal is to create statement wardrobe hero pieces that are so fun you want to style them 100 different ways, and so flexible and adjustable you can wear them any time, even if you’re experiencing IBS or bloating or your size changes.

💖 My favourite colours are pink and black so you’ll see a lot of those in my collection, and I also believe leopard is a neutral! 🐆

👰🏻‍♀️In February I launched my new bridal line, to bring you city chic options for your elopement or small wedding, as I found when I was eloping there was a massive lack of sustainable and plus size options. I also make custom wedding dresses!

♻️ I want my business to be as sustainable as possible. Everything is made in the UK by me or one of my talented seamstresses; and I use deadstock or sustainably sourced fabrics. I pay specially to have all my textile waste recycled and was awarded silver recycling grade last year by @first_mile

🧗🏻‍♀️ When I’m not working I like to get as far away from the fashion world as possible and go fully feral climbing a mountain somewhere.

🐈‍⬛ I’m a cat girlie. My soft fluffy baby has my whole heart and his own job as Chief Fluffy Officer in the morale division 😸

Thank you 💝

The last few months have been some of the most gruelling weeks of my life, working 12 hours a day 7 days a week to make my pop up dream a reality. It’s definitely going to take some time for me to decompress, crunch numbers and evaluate it.

So for now I just want to say thank you: thank you to everyone who came and visited, everyone who bought something from me, everyone who bought something from one of my talented fellow makers, everyone who shared about the pop up online, everyone who told their friends about it, everyone who messaged me after the theft, everyone who came and hung out with me during it to keep me company when I was shaken up, and everyone who supported me.

Special thank you to my parents and Charlotte G for helping me with set up and logistics, couldn’t have done it without you.
